La Tana de l’Ors is located in the centre of Forno di Zoldo, the capital of the homonymous valley, recently recognized as a World Heritage Site – The Unesco Dolomites. Perhaps a little less known than  neighboring valleys, the Val di Zoldo is equal in panoramic beauty, sporting and cultural opportunities.

Close by you will find the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, Reinhold Messner’s Mountain Museum on Monte Rite, the Civetta ski area (Dolomiti Superski), cross-country ski trails (Campo di Zoldo and Cibiana night-lit – Palafavera), two Alte Vie (n. 1 and n. 3), a complete network of trekking paths with differing duration and difficulty, via ferratas, mountain bike trails and much more.

AN HOUR AWAY BY CAR

Within an hour’s drive you can easily reach Cortina d’Ampezzo, Marmolada, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Belluno, Misurina and the Tronchetto car park in Venice, in order to take a vaporetto. At Santa Croce del Lago (half an hour by car) you will find one of the most important paragliding schools in Italy,  a lake famous among wind-surfers and kite-surfers from all over the world.
